BFGoodrich is attempting to do to the Ultra High Performance All-Season market what they did to the Ultra High Performance Summer market with the g-Force Sport COMP-2. They used the same internal casing in the new g-Force COMP-2 A/S as they use in the Sport COMP-2 to make production volume move faster and keep a proven casing as the base for this tire.
The COMP-2 A/S utilizes three technologies that optimize performance:
- g-Force tread technology squares off the shoulders of the tire and evenly distributes forces across the contact patch, reducing the occurrence of irregular treadwear and giving more predictable grip and handling.
- UltiGrip technology uses high levels of silica and a V-shaped tread design with a high-void ratio and beveled edges to provide drivers confidence in wet, dry and snowy conditions.
- PRC technology (Performance Racing Core) combines three systems to provide excellent performance that starts in the core of the tire. The ETEC System (Equal TEnsion Containment System) distributes forces around the tire to keep the tires round. DSS (Dynamic Suspension System) keeps the casing of the tire stable under high forces. g-Control sidewall inserts resist deflection to keep the tire from flexing too much and overheating.
According to BFGoodrich, the g-Force COMP-2 A/S boasts a very competitive 15' shorter stopping distances in wet and 5' shorter stopping distances in dry as compared to the competitor's tire. All of these things combine to make the COMP-2 A/S the best Ultra High Performance All-Season tire BFGoodrich has ever made.
