Don't Use P255's in Snow on Sport Trac's Drove first time today after a week of snow in Calgary. I have these tires in a P255 size on a Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Driving was very a stressful experience on anything but flat terrain with much sliding and difficulty gaining traction after stopping. I had to steer "into the direction of the skid" about 5 times today at relatively low speeds ~ 20-30 mph ( 35-50 kph) These tires have less than 10,000 miles on them so wear isn't the problem. These are wide-profile tires,P255's,so that certainly doesn't help the situation.
