The Highway All-Season Category Belongs to Michelin

The Defender LTX M/S, which replaces Michelin’s LTX M/S2, takes over its predecessor’s spot in first place in the Highway All-Season category. Building upon a winning formula, the tire retains the LTX M/S2’s effective tread pattern and proven internal construction. But the Defender LTX M/S tires utilize a new, more durable tread compound to address concerns with wear when used in extreme service conditions.

The Michelin Evertread compound is molded into a symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes to deliver all-season traction on dry roads and in inclement weather. Michelin offers the tire with a six-year, 70,000-mile warranty for euro-metric sizes and 50,000-mile warranty for LT sizes.

Consumers have really enjoyed the tire as it has the highest rating in our survey results in the following areas:

  • Hydroplaning resistance
  • Wet traction
  • Light snow traction
  • Ride quality

Available in 42 sizes for vans, pickups, and SUVs, as well as commercial vans, shuttles and chassis cabs using heavy-duty, light truck sizes, the Michelin Defender LTX M/S is going to continue to be a hit with drivers. Shop by vehicle to see if the top-rated tire from Michelin is available for your application.
