In five years my search was for a QUIET and SMOOTH RIDING tire. The stock tire is 235/55/20. I run this size in the winter on the stock rims. In the summer, I run 255/50/20's on custom rims. The OEM Toyo's were...acceptable. Ride and noise were about a 6 or 7. First set of larger summer tires were Nitto NT-420S's. First year was about the same as the Toyos. Second summer the Nittos went to crap as far a noise and ride. When the Toyos wore out (rather quickly-mileage wise), I purchased the Yokohamas. I loved them! Ran the the season and still liked them so well, I purchased a set in the larger size for the summer (the Nittos still had over 50% tread...just that bad). I have run the larger size now since April '14 and they match the stock size in ride and quiet.
Of course, you pay a price as far as handling. The Yokohama's no where near take a corner like it is on rails as it did with the Nittos. I drives like a luxury SUV not a sports car...and that is FINE with my 59 year old point of view.
If you are looking for a SUV tire that delivers a quiet and smooth ride...look no farther than the Yokohama Parada Spec-X.
