Yokohama Parada Spec-X
Initial Review: 36,000 miles on tires

I LOVE these tires! When I bought a used 2007 Mazda CX-9 a couple of years ago, the 20-inch OEM tires needed to be replaced immediately. I researched options on some Mazda forums and the Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires kept coming up, so I purchased a set. These have been the best tires on any car I've ever owned. The ride is luxurious, soft and surprisingly quiet. And the performance in wet weather (we live east of Seattle) is excellent, too - no hydroplaning, even at high speeds, driving on I-90 up to Snoqualmie Pass. I've driven in packed snow and frozen slush, and the tires did fine. But when the weather gets really bad, I don't take any chances: the Mazda CX-9 gets parked in the driveway and I only drive my Audi A4 Quattro. This has nothing to do with the tires, however - it's just no fun driving a huge SUV on icy roads when I have an option with my Audi.

I like these tires so much that I just bought an identical set and am looking forward to another 36,000 miles that combine the best of a luxurious and quiet ride along with with excellent all-weather performance, from dry and hot roads in the summer to wet and slushy drives up I-90 to the ski resorts in the fall and winter.

Japanese cars seem to do well with Japanese tires, and the Mazda CX-9 gets along great with a matching set of 20-inch Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires.
