Initial Review: 100 miles on tires
July 10, 2012

This is an initial review after these new tires were installed, getting rid of the OEM Goodyear Eagle LS2 that came with the vehicle. Very happy I have more choices of this OEM sizing now when I needed to change my tires. When I bought the vehicle new in 06, I think only 2 choices were available for this size, the OEM Goodyears being one of them. Now there are close to 20. I am pleased Yokohama had this tire made in this size. I really love how the tire looks. So aggressive that it looks scary when I first saw them installed on my SUV. I was very apprehensive driving off the tire shop, not knowing if they'll be very noisy. I am very happy that these tires are much more quieter than I expected, handling is dead on, complementing the Outlander's superb sporty handling. I got these tires mostly for the heavy rain and winter.I have yet to see action on both weather conditions but the dry handling was more than meets my expectations. Occasional rain the past few days, and these tires made me feel like the road was dry.Off-road performance is also something I considered, and also yet to test. I will update this review as I go along. Hopefully these characteristics will stay true throughout the life of the tire. In summary, my initial impression is that very pleased with these tires. Definitely an upgrade to the GY Eagle LS2 that came as OEM tires.
