Sumitomo HTR Z III
Initial Review: 5,000 miles on tires
July 17, 2012

I have been running Sumitomo's on atleast two of my vehicles for the past 12 years. This is the first set I have purchased for my BMW 325ix Sport Wagon. Thus far I have been pleased with the overall perfomance of these tires. I drive very efficiently, not wasting much movement or time. The handling and ride comfort of the tires have been better than expected for a relativly inexpensive tire. This past weekend I had the opportunity to test them on the interstate in rain with periodic downpours. The Z III's kept my wagon poised and steady even at speeds greater than 75 mph in this condition. The Z III's resisted hydroplanning in the straight line. I did however notice a little slippage during lane changes where I rolled over the plastic road lines... but this was to be expected (especially in heavy rain). Outside of that the Z III's keep me confident and comfortable at high speeds on varied surfaces and summer road conditions. I highly recomend them for the enthusiatic driver. Drive safe.
