Initial Review: 51,000 miles on tires
October 03, 2012

I just purchased my third set of these tires off Tirerack.com. My first set lasted 47,266 miles, my second lasted about 51,000 miles.

I am extremely happy with these. As I have a 2WD jeep the stock Wrangler tires were aweful and I would even say unsafe, although I keep until 75k miles. In water the rear wheels hydroplaned and rear slipped all over the place when on wet ground, ice or light snow.

The Pirelli's were exactly what I was looking for and ever since getting them hydroplaning/slipping problems went away.

My Jeep has 177,000 miles and I thought about putting cheaper tires on this time but my son is getting his permit soon and he may get this next year so I decided I wanted the safest tires I could find for mid-atlantic weather, so I bought third set.
