Initial Review: 20,000 miles on tires
September 28, 2012

I got these after a blowout on a used car which had the same tires. After 20,000 miles on the replacement set, the rear tires wore on the middle tread. The fronts were ok. In speaking to the Mercedes dealer, he stated this was a common problem for wider treads (265) since the tire was not structurally designed for the width. The tires tend to squat regardless if following the air pressure recommendation? Again, the fronts have good tread. The rear tires had good tread on the inner and outer surface. The inner channel (see pics) was worn out. I am a Michelin user on all cars but will avoid this style. I have switched to the summer performance which, interestingly, is rated better in the rain.
