Initial Review: 1,000 miles on tires

Bought a complete set of these for my 98 C5 Corvette, manual 6spd. & Z51 Suspension.
What a diffence these tires made in the ease of steering at slow speeds when navigating parking lots. Put a little over a thousand miles on these during our trip up to Lake Tahoe. These tires are by far quieter than any other tire I've had on this car since I bought it new. The OEM Goodyear Eagle EMT's that came with the car were by far the worst. I had them replace in the first six months after spinning out on the freeway. I switched over to the non EMT Eagles and they were better but didn't last-13K miles. For my 3rd set of tires I switched over to a complete set of Bridgestone S03 Pole Positions which were an excellant set of tires, but no longer available. I managed to get 23K out of them and they still had tread left on them. Replaced them due to age, 9yrs and hard. These new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires are an excellant fit for the Corvette. I had them mounted and balanced at Corvette Mike's in Tustin,California. The tech their was telling me that I could have bought the EMT version of this tire as well, and that their is very little diffence in the ride and handling performance between the two. He also said that I could expect to get twice the milage out of them over the S03' that I had taken off.
