Follow-Up Review: 10,000 miles on tires
April 19, 2014
I have the tires for 1 year (over 10,000 miles) and they look brand new. The treadwear is just phenomenal. I can definitely see these rubber lasting another 40-50K, which I never experienced in my lifetime. Dry and wet stability is very good; road noise and comfort is still mediocre due to rubber stiffness. This is a high value tire and you can get good life for the buck. I would prefer you wait for the rebate however.
Initial Review: 6,000 miles on tires

I was very hopeful of these tires due to the high ratings here and the fact that it came with a nice mail-in-rebate. Bought 225/55-17 to replace OEM Goodyear RS-A of the same size on my G37. After 6000 miles, I felt like the tires didn't live up to my expectation. It seems like a poor fit for the G37 - it's neither sporty, or comfy. The ride is a little rough and road noise is very obvious, even when new. I felt like the OEM Goodyear had better ride and noise quality when new, even though people on the forum criticize it. On the issue of mpg, these were touted to be LRR eco/green tires, but yet again, I was disappointed to see less than 0.5 mpg improvement, which is within my record-keeping variance. Some of the positive that I'm seeing are: lighter steering due to lighter weight, good wet traction, and long tread-life. I'll also add that I got my mail-in-rebate card within one month, which is pretty good. However, I felt like my G lost a step with these tires, it doesn't turn as sharply, feel as luxurious, or handle as well as it should. Maybe all these traits were sacrifice for the long-tread life, I don't know. I will be considering something else when the times come.
