Follow-Up Review: 55,000 miles on tires
March 22, 2013
I put a good 55,000 miles, give or take, on these tires in total and wore them down to 2/32 or thereabouts. One of them did develop a slight wobble so when driving the car had a bit of shake to it. But again, I wore them nearly all the way down so it's kind of expected. Chicago has potholes and other hazards up the wazoo so I abused the heck out of these, never mind the winters and salt!. I rotated about once a year too. These tires lasted me around 5 years! The Yokohama's I had on before these wore out in less than 2 years. I would have bought these again but they've gone up so much in price that I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I went with the Fuzion's instead because at $66, you can't go wrong. They seem to have about the same ratings from others so far. All in all, I am glad I got these Kumhos for my 2002 Sonata. A very high quality tire and they lasted very long. If you live in an area where the snow isn't too bad, these will serve you well.
Initial Review: 6,000 miles on tires
January 14, 2008

I had the Yokohama Avid H4s on before I bought these. The first thing I noticed is that snow and ice traction has improved a little compared to the Yokohamas. The sticky feel of the Yokohama's isn't present on these but they hold their own Touring tires. I like that they are rated for a higher PSI than the Yokohamas as this gives them a more solid feel on the road. Noise comfort is stellar and whisper quiet. Like riding on cotton balls. Much more so than the Yokohamas. Treadwear seems nonexistent thus far. These are a great deal and for those considering the Yokohama H4s, don't overlook these, you'll be pleasantly surprised. I am. Will buy again when the time comes to replace my tires.
