Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61
Initial Review: 10,000 miles on tires

I purchased these tires for my wife's new to us Tacoma after seeing the survey results that they rated a little higher than the tire that I put on her old Pathfinder we got rid of. I understand that different vehicles will perform differently on the same style of tire, but I am surprised how badly these are working. When these tires were first installed the road noise was minimal, which is much better than the tires that were on it; but they are now starting to get louder, which is still better than what was on the truck. When the roads and are dry these are great tires, in the wet cornering and stopping are as expected, but acceleration is way below what I was hoping for. When on wet asphalt, pulling away from a stop can be a little exciting especially if you are turning. In the dirt, grass and sand they do work as I expected since the tread isn't exactly aggressive. We did have to put the truck in 4wd when we got stuck on a "hill" (we were in NW Ohio if that helps describe what a "hill" is) that was wet grass. Getting stuck on the wet grass does make me concerned how well these are going to be once the white stuff hits. So between the poor wet handling and concerns about performance in the snow also because these are on my wife's truck and I don't need to be worried about her, I will be replacing these as soon as I can.
