Kumho Ecsta 4X
Initial Review: 100 miles on tires
December 31, 2011

Compared to the OEM tire for my vehicle these Kumho's were not only attractive estetically but in price as well. Right out of the installer's parking lot I noticed the superb steering response. Next I was off thru the city where it was stop and go. This is where I started to feel just how good the grip was in both accelaration and breaking during a pure dry surface. Following a long run n the highway which varied from freshly paved to intermediate grooves and potholes. The outside noise was more audible than the OEM ride. Not that it was unbearable but noticeable. Grooves in the asphalt that once steered the vehicle towards or in the next lane with the OEM's was not a problem for the Kuhmo Ecsta 4x. The rubber stayed with the lane like a slot car. Heading into pothole and bump country was slightly noticeable as the rubber was aggressive on both giving it a harder ride than the touring tire. Entering the exit at 90 plus MPH and then taking the turns at 75 and 65 respectfully made the tires begged for more pedal which was eventually given merging on a 2 lane local highway. Very responsive, priced good, and looks great. These Kuhmo's get a solid 9 backed by Tire rack's lightenfast shipping that while not free was cheaper than the local in stock shops. Another thumbs up to the rack for stocking these. WTG guys/gals .....
