Initial Review: 80,000 miles on tires
December 30, 2011

I've purchased the Pirelli P4 4 Seasons, General Altimax, and Hankook Optiomo through tirerack.com. The Hankook's have been by far the best set of tires that I have used, ever! They were each good tires in their own right, but the Hankook's stand alone. I drive in Oklahoma weather, so we see a little bit of everything. The tires have driven well in all kinds of weather. I have put about 80,000 miles on this tire, and they still look great. I rotate my tires every 12,000 miles (every 2nd oil change) and they have worn beautifully. If they continue to wear as they have I would not be surprised to get another 50,000-60,000 miles out of them! I don't consider myself a car expert in an sense of the word, but unless you are Speed Racer, you will be hard-pressed to find a better tire. I'll be buying another set of these for my wife's car after the first of the year.
