Initial Review: 5,000 miles on tires

This tire is okay for your average driver. As far as tires go i would say the quality level would be the minimum i would reccommend for tires. i know there are a lot worse tires out there for less or sometimes evem more money then these tires but also there are much better tires out there. these tires were gifted to me so its not like i spent money on them but after putting between 5 and 10k miles they still have 10 tread depth so they will probably last a long time. As far as driving these tires have some road noise, and also i have to be a bit more carefull then im used to with my other vehicles when it is raining with these tires equiped. i have be very easy on the gas and slow with the clutch (i have a manual) to get the car going in the rain or tires will spin and wont hook up. but cornering as long as i take it slow i wont go into a slide when its wet. these tires do corner great when it is dry and for dryer climates these tires would be a lot more suited. but even in the dry i have to be easy with the throttle or i get wheel spin more easy then i should for having an economy car with only 100 horsepower. if you are looking for an economical tire that is safe for your family this is a tire to consider but you get what you pay for and if you drive in the rain as long as you are cautious everything will be fine.
