Goodyear Ultra Grip Winter
Initial Review: 5,500 miles on tires
January 08, 2014

We just drove back from Murfressboro TN to Wisconsin Sunday 05Jan14 on I-65 through 245 miles of blizzard conditions, 6-8 inches, white out conditions at times, and these tires saved us. Literally dozens of all types of cars, trucks, 18 wheelers, etc all ove the sides of the road, squads included. These tires allowed us to drive up unplowed off ramps to rest stops that were not plowed, and motor right back on the highway past vehicles stuck on the on ramps. Great sense of control and confidence, although speeds were restricted from 25MPH to 40 MPH due to conditions. We had to get back to Wisconsin that Sunday, or risk driving the following Monday in -15 below real temp weather in the morning; we made it home late, but made it home due to having installed these tires. As of this morning, 07Jan14, 65 miles of I-65 were still closed. Highly recommended.
