Initial Review: 78,000 miles on tires

I bought my 2005 Corolla CE used in February 2010 with these factory tires on it. I was going to buy brand new tires then, but the tread was still pretty good, so I didn't replace them until December 2011 when I got a flat. I didn't investigate the flat because I was planning on buying new tires anyway. I live in the Midwest and we got a lot of snow in late 2010 - early 2011. The tires performed great in the snow, I slid only once while I had the original tires and it was only slightly after a snow/ice storm.

Others rate these tires as low - average quality. I'm sure there are better tires out there, but I'm not a performance driver and all I want are some decent tires for my economy car. The most important thing to me is that they work well in wet/icy conditions. I also maintained my tires (inflation, rotation, etc.). I think for the price, the quality is better than 'average.' As long as I have this car, I'll probably continue to use these tires because I don't have any complaints.
