I bought my Touareg in August of this year, and these tires came on the car. They had been put on 20k earlier and had worn nicely, probably about half tread remaining.

The day after buying th Touareg, I was caugh in a flash flood on the highway. The tires handled well at 70 mph in the rain. The only rain issue I had was a little hydro planing on the highway last week, but the temps were on the high 30s.

Earlier this week we got 8 of snow, and my snow tires hadn't been delivered yet. The tires handled the snow well, only faulting under heavy braking in slush. I alway put snow tires on in the winter, so the snow capabilities of this tire are of no importance to me.

Word of advice - get snow tires in the winter. The reason why most of you are unhappy with the tire in winter and cold conditions is because this is not a snow tire. The good handling in the snow can also be largely attributed to my AWD, 320 lb/ft, and air ride suspension.
