General AltiMAX RT43 (H- or V-Speed Rated)
Initial Review: 2,000 miles on tires

I purchased these tires to replace some balding Radar RPX900 tires on my corolla wagon. With the worn tires, there was a humming noise I kept hearing, which lead me to believe that it was the wheel bearings. Also, traction on the old tires were pretty much gone. As soon as I put on these new General AltiMAX RT43 tires on, it was like had been given a new car! It honestly amazes me how much a new set of tires makes the car feel; it's like it's a completely different car. The humming I was hearing in the past disappeared completely, and the rode noise when driving on the freeway AND city was reduced dramatically. I could hear my stereo at a much lower volume! I live in SoCal and this past winter was unusually rainy, and these tires gripped as if though it was a dry summer day. My steering also became pretty light, it doesn't take much effort to make an input and the steering feels great. I have about 2K miles on them so far and am very happy with how these tires perform. The alignment indicator on the tire seems and tire wear indicator seem pretty cool features, and i did get an alignment when installing these new tires, and the tire alignment indicator do seem to work as advertised. Overall, for the price these tires are sold for, they are a steal! Traction is very good, rode noise is very minimal and to my years, these tires are pretty quiet, and traction seems perfect. Overall, i am very happy with these general tires. I wish i had heard of them sooner!
