General Altimax RT
Initial Review: 21,000 miles on tires
March 12, 2013

Bought these tires for my mom's Toyota Camry. She is in her 80's and, needless to say, a very conservative driver. Ninety percent of driving is small town driving with occasional forays onto the 55mph 4 lane. After 3 years and 21,000 miles, the tread bars are showing. The tires have worn evenly and I kept up with the tire pressure and rotation. The car was aligned when the tires were first put on.
I'm disappointed since I've had General tires in the past and have gotten good service out of them. Reviews for this tire are mostly positive. The tires were made in Brazil which might have something to do with quality.
I didn't rate performance since I rarely drive the car. My mom doesn't drive in the snow and usually not in the rain. She had no complaints about the tires.
