Initial Review: 1,500 miles on tires
February 19, 2014

I drive on mostly highways and country roads in the mountains. My all season Continentals were getting worn down and I had a few scary episodes with them on steep mountain roads while driving on snow and ice. I decided to try dedicated winter tires for the first time ever and purchased studded General Altimax Arctics for my Jeep. I'm glad I did too, they are the best tires I ever had for winter driving. They really grip the ice and snow especially while braking. Hopefully no more scary experiences on the icy hills for me.
