Couldn't wait to test this tire in the snow. Finally got about 4-5 inches of snow today and was able to test. On the way home I was able to fly by people in the passing lane (unplowed) at 60mph with a dusting - 1 of snow. As the night went on I took a parking lot adventure and did some donuts which was extremely controlled, almost boring but awesome at the same time. As the tires got traction after leaving a donut, it grabbed the road so hard it almost gives you whiplash. Putting these tires on my vehicle made it a tank in the snow. They are about 5% louder than my stock Bridgestone EL400-02 tires and I didn't notice much of a difference in dry handling, nothing that was unexpected from a snow tire. I ran the Firestone's for a little while and they seemed to be more bouncy on the highway and not as sticky in the snow. The only huge difference between these and my all seasons was stopping distance which I quickly was able to account for. Definitely would recommend these tires they are great!! There's no way there is any reason to buy a more expensive tire, it's just not necessary on an AWD vehicle.
