Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D
Initial Review: 700 miles on tires
December 14, 2013

Purchased this tire as a replacement for my previous set of winter tires (Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3) that were five years old. Overall, the Dunlop's are a very good winter tire. While the dry traction and responsiveness isn't as good as the Michelin's, they're far superior in the snow. We had over a foot of snow today, and I was able to drive my car through unplowed roads without problem. Given how bad the conditions were, getting around with the PA3s would have been much more difficult. While the Dunlop 4Ds aren't the most sporty winter tire, they're more than adequate in dry conditions and will get you where you need to go when the weather turns horrible. I'd recommend these to anyone who needs a good all-around winter tire.
