I went from shaved RE-11's to these tires. These are my summer tires, I have winter tires for Nov - Feb. Since I only use them in the summer and I have a second car I'm not really concerned about things like wear rate...I like having a lot of grip for the occasional on-ramp.

Dry grip is good, seems to be almost as good or the same as the RE-11s. Wet grip is good, maybe not quite as good as the RE-11s. Of course these won't hydroplane like the RE-11s I had since they are full tread depth.

The sidewalls seems softer than the RE-11s, so the wheel rate is maybe a little bit reduced. This is nice for ride quality...it doesn't thump on expansion joints quite as harshly. The down-side is that turn-in response isn't quite as crisp, but that could also be the difference between full tread depth and shaved.

These tires are every bit as loud as the shaved RE-11's, and seem to make a higher-pitched tone which is more noticeable in the car. I think for my next set of summer tires I'm going to pay more attention to the tire noise comments, even if it means giving up a bit of peak dry grip...
