Initial Review: 17,000 miles on tires

These Conti True Contacts are the 3rd set of tires on this car. First 2 were Goodyear Assurance ComforTred (not Touring) and Hankook Optimo H727. Both were decent. I got cupping on the H727's and it's too early to tell if that will be an issue on the Conti's - but the wear is very slow so far. After only 17k miles, I love the TrueContacts. They are extremely comfortable riding. You notice that immediately whenever you put on new tires with more tread, but this has continued to be a big improvement from the earlier tires. As for light snow, I just came in from half a day of driving (very cold) snow-covered streets and highways and had no slipping at all with my fairly conservative driving style. Very happy with how they are in those conditions. I keep pretty good track of gas mileage throughout the year and during last summer I didn't notice that the ECO rated True Contacts gave any better results than either of the previous sets of tires.
