Continental ExtremeContact DWS
Initial Review: 5,000 miles on tires
March 06, 2012

Original tires were the Continental Pro Contact. Awful in the snow, treadwear and road noise were undesirable. Opted for the extreme contact DWS. Wnted to change manufacturer, but after doing some research and price checking opted for the DWS. When I say AWESOME, I mean it.Wonderful in the snow. No snow this year in Rhode Island, but when it did I could not wait to tear it up with my new tires. They performed better than expected. My car has a manual transmission and the older tires slipped furiously. These DWS tires ARE well worth it. The price is good and they are very reliable tires. The road noise is minimal, less than the Procontacts. Also with the older tires hitting bumps would make a loud thud noise in the vehicle. The DWS has a much smoothe lighter ride. My MPG also jumped about 2 MPG.They look quite nice too! Very nice, very happy. Tires are very important and reviews are all you have to go on, hope this was helpfull. Thankyou Continental!!
