Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus
Initial Review: 800 miles on tires
July 15, 2012

I called Tire Rack last Tuesday, visited with Todd who answered my questions about the tire choices I had for my 2011 Subaru Legacy based on survey responses, and placed an order. I noticed that they were shipped within a few hours. The tires arrived at my home in northwest Missouri Thursday afternoon, and were installed on my car Friday morning. Great Service, Tire Rack.

The Serenity Plus Bridgestones were replacing the original Bridgestone Turanza EL 400's that came on the car. I was satisfied with the EL 400's until about 30,000 miles. While relatively quiet in the beginning, they were getting loud enough to be a distraction. I stressed to Tire Rack that I wanted to keep the handling characteristics of the Bridgestones, but wanted a quiet, comfortable ride.

The Serenity Plus tires gave me all I was hoping for. We drove 700 miles this weekend through two thunderstorms and 104 degree heat. The most dramatic difference is the ride comfort and smoothness of this tire. The noise level was minimal, and I felt no loss of traction or hydroplaning when driving through the downpours. The Serenity Plus is an excellent replacement choice for this vehicle. I will do a followup review next spring to rate my experiences on ice and snow performance.

I had purchased Michelin Primacy MXV4's for my 2009 Forester, and was disappointed in their noise and ride comfort from the beginning. I will be replacing them with the Serenity Plus when the time comes.
