Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A
Initial Review: 500 miles on tires

I changed to the RE-11A from Hankook RS3's. The RE-11A's are much better all around. Whereas the RS3 has extreme grip on hot dry days, the RE-11A has slightly less grip in those conditions, but ... the RE-11A has much more grip in damp or cooler weather and a much wider operating envelope. Most important to me, it is progressive in losing grip. It does not let go abruptly and it communicates a lot at the edge of traction. This makes the tire more fun to ride hard. No surprises. It is also much quieter and much less harsh on regular daily driving road conditions.

For those of us in the Pacific Northwest where cool and/or damp conditions are normal, this is a good tire choice.
