Follow-Up Review: 45,000 miles on tires
November 29, 2012
I have had this tire on for about 45k miles. My wife drove the car for the first 35k on the tires. She never really noticed the noise, but I did once I inherited the car. Even when I drove it since tires installed, I heard, The Bridgestone Tire Noise. I cannot take the road noise, I have to turn the radio up to hear the music or Stern. I will not recommend this tire or buy again. Tread wear is good as it is a hard rubber (hence long tread wear). I guess no tire manufacturer came up with the perfect balance of tread wear+road noise+performance. Cornering is OK as well as rain traction. Snow, eh. My wife did report hydroplaning with these and that scare me when she drove the car. If you do not have a radio in your car, don't buy these.
Initial Review: 30 miles on tires
February 29, 2012

I bought these tires and thought I got a good tire for the price. As other reviews wrote, they cupped early in their life, even after 2 alignments and proper rotation. Cold weather does have a flat spot until the tires warm up. It was my wife's car for a while but I got it now. She got used the noise or maybe it wasn't as bad in the beginning. She has a new car and the GY tires are quiet. She really notices the difference in sound when using my car now (her old car). The road noise is bad, I have to turn up the radio and sometimes that road hum just works its way into the music. I am all for giving things a proper chance, but I would not buy again. I just cannot deal with the noise. The tires, tread wear, is good so I won't buy new tires yet. I will buy something else other than these. If I knew about the road noise I might not have bought them. You live and learn. They do handle well, stop well in many conditions. My main issue is with the noise.
