Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3
Initial Review: 15,000 miles on tires

Because of the reviews, price/value, I've purchased these tires off TireRack first for my Audi and then later for my Trailblazer ss. Going on 4 winters and they are great!
The squishy/rolly feel (that's Inherent with all winter tires) is very apparent but that is the nature of the beast with all winter tires... Again with all winter tires they are not designed as a performance ‘dry or wet pavement tire' and cannot compete with all seasons or summer tires in that regard. If you are not a spirited driver then obviously you will not care about the numbing, tread squirm and overall soft compound feel anyway.
They are noticeably more comfortable than my summer tires as they absorb the small bumps in the road surprisingly well. I only use them in the winter so it's easy to compare to my summer z rated tires; When pushed past threshold, the wet and dry traction is noticeably less then the threshold of my summer tires, but in the snow, slush and ice there is absolutely no comparison at all and that is what they are designed for. Fact: deep snow traction (2+ Feet deep) will depend on the ground clearance of the vehicle not the tires (example: with these same tires my AWD Audi can get caught up/ float up in 2 feet of deep snow and get stuck, but I will not get stuck in my RWD truck that has more ground clearance.
Road noise is good, and tread wear seems surprisingly good as well (and with over 400hp its easy to spin these tires on dry pavement). Recommended!
Ontario Canada.
