Needed replacement for Falken 512 UHP A/S that had 38,439 miles on them. Biggest complaint about prior tires were noise level was horrible after 25k & grip level deteriorated fairly substantially @ that point also. Snow performance decreased along with dry grip. Even with heavy rotation, balancing & strict high psi management.Daily commute is 60 miles round...  Read More

I live in south Georgia gumbo capital of the world, and never write reviews on products I've bought in the past (this is the first). This is the greatesr tire I've ever owned and will be buying another set. The traction in mud is great and everyone loves the design. The only complaint I have is now I spend more time pulling people out than hunting.   Read More

These tires have served me very well, even in the rigors of a Maine winter, and on a 2-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive pickup truck. I have just ordered a set of 4 for our family sedan (Volvo S40), and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is likely to encounter much driving on snow or ice. I also consider the tire to be well-priced, especially given...  Read More

Purchased these tires based on reviews from tirerack with owners living in snow states. We got 12-15 of snow more than once and the car went through it even without spinning the tires. And I'm pretty much the only person driving the speed limit confidently through 6-8 of snow on the interstate. Yep, that was me. VERY aggressive tire for the UHP driver. For...  Read More

Overall, I am very pleased with this tire. I purchased a vehicle from a southern state and it came with high performance summer tire which here in Midwest is a no-no when snow hits the ground. RE960AS tire was very good to me in rain and snow, so I was really happy that this new RE970AS tire had just come out. The tire is very quiet on any surface: asphalt,...  Read More

I have a staggered 18 set of the Kumhos on my xi. My previous set of summer tires were Falken 452's. The Falken's have phenomenal grip but sounded like tractor tires after 15,000 miles. I replaced them with the Kumhos, and the difference in noise and comfort were immediate. The Kumho's are equal the Falken's in most ways, except with a slight loss of...  Read More

These are nice tires but the complaint others have wrote about here that they have soft sidewalls is correct. They are decent passenger care tires but not really ultra high performance. If you want a good passenger car tire, with great traction, awesome in the rain and quiet these are for you.   Read More

Great AT tire. Replaced a set of Toyo Open Country A/T. The Toyo had a higher load rating, but did wear a bit quick. The Firestone tire was a bit less expensive and a tad softer sidewall which has made the ride comfort a bit better. The Firestone's are also wearing at a faster rate than I would like, but that is the nature of an A/T tire that gives good wet...  Read More

I've always had all-seasons in the past for the winter, but the General Altimax Artic is such an improvement in the snow that I'll never go with all-seasons in the winter again. They stick to everything...powder, slush, packed snow. Mine are not studded, but even the ice traction isn't bad considering this. My car has neither traction control nor ABS, yet I...  Read More

I can't believe there's not more reviews of this tire. It might make a fair difference according to the vehicle these are mounted on, but for mine, it unquestionably outpferforms the stock Turanzas (not a very nice tire, BTW) in warm weather, and completely comes alive in the cold weather. Cornering and braking in winter is as good as a good summer...  Read More

Switching from Michelin MXM4 I expected much less from Kumho...and I was wrong !! They are quieter, more comfortable, better on rain and dry and all that for half the money...unbelievable, but true. Michelin is way overpriced, except if you can afford high end tires for cars that 99.99% people can only dream about. Anyway, I am really satisfied and will update...  Read More

The tire was purchased to combat the Boston winters when I lived out there. It made a world of a difference when I stuck these bad boys on my Acura RSX. I never had any problems feeling uneasy during my daily trips (5x/week) from Boston to Portsmouth, NH. Drove them on the dry pavement, snow, icy, just paved, etc. Felt extremely confident in my tires that I...  Read More

Fantastic tire. I tried All Season and this is so much better. No more noise than the all seasons, nearly as good in all catagories, excellent in snow. Drove out to Erie, PA in winter. Lake Effect snow slowed everyone else, we breezed right through. Hit snow storm on Interstate. Never got stuck or slid off. Saw 4 wheelers spinning out and flipping all over...  Read More

Drove from FL to ME on these tires and had no issues besides a little noisey. Drove on fresh snow of 4 inches and the roads after they had been plowed and so far handles above expectations for a all season tire in the snow and ice. With the road just having water on it I feel safe but notice handeling does not compare to dry conditions. Overall you will be...  Read More

Just had these tires installed at my local tire place the day before Central PA got 6-12 inches of wet heavy sticky snow. My timing was perfect. I'm from Northern NY and am versed in winter driving and the awd helps but these tires made the car into a snow-eating monster. Only broke free once on a really ice glared road but they caught right away and tracked...  Read More

I installed these on my 2008 Prius at the beginning of the winter in 2010-2011. I was expecting some noise and less handling then all season tires. Was I wrong! This tire is as quiet as my all season tires, handles well on wet and dry roads , and had unbelievable traction in some fairly deep snow of 6-9 inches. During every snow event my traction control...  Read More

I purchased a set for my '09 Durango Limited due to the very positive reviews. The expectations were met completely. Ride quality on this vehicle is fantastic, muted effect over just about anything, so quiet. Heavy rain is barely felt through runoff. Did get a chance to use them in Flagstaff in snow which then turned to a dangerous freeze. Don't expect...  Read More

I've used these tires on a Volvo 850R, a Volvo V70XC, An Audi A6, and now a Saab 9-3. I've also had misc. Blizzaks, Hakkapeliita, and one Hankook snow tire. Bridgestone Winterforce tires are by far the superior tire for areas were snow is common and steady. They are GREAT for deep snow and fresh snow conditions, and perform as good as city snow tires in...  Read More
