Nissan Murano Tires

About 2 years ago I bought used Nissan Murano the first thing I did was replace the OEM Goodyear Eagle LS tire with the Yokohama AVID H4s. At the time there weren't very many tires in size 235-65-18, but the Yokohamas have served our family very well. They have great handling in the wet and dry are reasonably quiet. We use Bridgestone Blizzaks in the winter time so I can't speak for the snow traction.

We put several thousand miles on these tires and was thinking about replacing them again. Two years later there seems to be great selection of tires to choose from, especially since Nissan has continued to use this size since the inception of the Murano.

Today I would consider the three following SUV tires for this application. In my opinion the best all weather tire, especially in the snow, would be the Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread. If your are in the Midwest or Northeast and not changing to winter tires in the fall I would go with the Goodyear.

If you are in the Sunbelt and looking for a nice and quiet riding tire and good in the wet, I would consider the Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza.

My top "value" option would be the Yokohama Parada Spec -X. Simply put, a great all around, all season tire.

Hi David,

Of the three tires you mentioned I would suggest the Michelin as well. The Yokohamas don't seem to be available any time soon, and the Goodyear would be better in the north and in the snow. The Michelin you will find to be very nice and smooth as well as great wet and dry traction. Hope this helps.

I would still recommend the 3 tires above, except the Fortera Triple Tread has been discontinued and replaced with the Goodyear Assurance CS Triple Tread.
