C6 Corvette Tires!

What would be a good alternative for your C6 Corvette tires?

The first question to ask yourself is whether or not you want to stick with the run-flats. If you are hoping to stay with the run-flats, of course you could stick with the Original Equipment Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT. If you are looking to improve the wet and dry traction, as well as the road manners but keep to the run-flats, you would then want to look to the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP.

If you still want run-flat tires but are looking to increase your longevity, try looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus ZP.  You maintain the run-flat technology, and will increase your longevity by as much as twice the Supercars!

If you are looking to leave the run-flats behind, your options open up very quickly. If your purpose is straight dry traction, the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 would be a great choice. You would be able to Autocross on this tire competitively.

To stick with the same basic grip with some added longevity as Original Equipment, you would look to the Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position or the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. The PS2 is reviewed slightly better, but the Bridgestone will save you about 40%!

I would be happy to help! What year is your C6? Are you thinking summer performance (grip and GO) or more about smooth quiet and long lasting? Let me know your thoughts,

Hello I am looking to replace my z06 chrome wheels on my 06 C6 convertible with Z51 package. I want to run 19 on front and 20 on rear rims. What size rim width's will fit and what size tires would work? I want to go wide enough on rears where tire will not stick out. I also want to run the run flat tires looking at Michelin Sport Pilots. Thank you for your response

Tony, We recommend the front tire size 245/35R19 (rim width range of 8" to 9") and the rear tire size 285/35R20 (rim width range 9.5" to 10.5"). We do carry the Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP in both of these sizes. The wheels listed on our website are guaranteed to work with your vehicle, just make sure that the wheels are within the rim width ranges previously mentioned.
