Our Customers Think the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Postion is the Best.

There's a new top dog in the Ultra High Performance All-Season category, and the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position is it! This newest model replaces Bridgestone's highly successful Potenza RE960AS Pole Position. As Bridgestone's flagship Ultra High Performance All-Season tire, it combines high speed capability with all-season traction for customers looking to replace tires on their sporty sedans and coupes, including the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C- and E-Class.

After I had the opportunity to drive our test vehicle equipped with a set of these tires, I purchased the tire for my vehicle. Owning a Lexus IS250 AWD, I wanted a tire that could perform well in all seasons, while also maintaining a respectable amount of ride comfort and road noise. So far the tire has exceeded my expectations, especially the wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. I drive mostly on the highway at 70 mph and have never driven a tire that's as stable and sure footed in the rain as this one.

The directional tread and continuous center rib provide responsive steering input but are also highly predicable at high speed and panic braking situations. Not only have I been impressed with Bridgestone's newest Ultra High Performance All-Season tire, so have many of our customers:

"The Potenza RE970AS Pole Position tire is simply amazing. Dry acceleration and adhesion during cornering and braking is outstanding. These tires stick to the road like glue. Wet road handling is virtually the same as dry road performance! No hydroplaning at highway speeds and no tire spin under hard, wet road acceleration. They simply grab the road under all conditions."  -- Tire Rack Consumer Review, 2009 Chevrolet Malibu

"I have to say that the traction attained with these tires (especially in the rain) has been extraordinary. The dry traction and handling is very comparable to that of the Ultra High Performance Summer tires I'm accustomed to buying. I think I found a real winner with these." -- Tire Rack Consumer Review, 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe

I am looking to buy the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Postion, for a 2008 Toyota Yanis 14 inch rims..I would like to know how much it cost to purchase four tires?

Miguel, We do not see any performance all-season tires currently offered in a 14" size that is appropriate for the Yaris. Please let us know if you would consider lower profile tires that allow for more selection options. -- marshall@tirerack.com

How well do these tires perform on track in comparison to say continental or Hoosier rain tires when it comes to grip and pace
