Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60: Snow Traction for Performance Cars

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60The Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 is currently ranked tenth overall in our Tire Survey Results for the Performance Winter/Snow tire category. However, before passing it over in favor of one of the tires ranked higher, it's worth a second look. When viewing a full list of Survey Results, sort by "Winter Performance" and suddenly the picture looks completely different, as the LM-60 moves to the top of the list.

Compared to other Performance Winter/Snow tires, the Blizzak LM-60 gives away a little handling on the clear roads in order to get better traction in snow and on ice. For drivers that need a healthy dose of winter traction, but want to maintain some of the performance character of their vehicle during the winter, the LM-60 is a great choice.

Take a look at what some customers have said about their winter experience with the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60:

"This tire was simply amazing in the snow this past winter. I drove with confidence and knew I had the best snow tires on the road. These tires saved me several times from accidents where other cars were sliding into my lane. I simply braked, let them slide through my lane and started going again. I'll never do another winter without the proper tires." -- Tire Rack Consumer, 2010 BMW 335i xDrive Sedan Sport Package

"This is the best winter tire I've ever owned. While the tire is adequate on dry roads, when the snow flies this tire is the one I want. I have often driven my Acura TL SH-AWD right around other 4WD/AWD vehicles with lesser tires during snowstorms, never once feeling unsafe or out of control. This tire gives me confidence in weather that would otherwise leave me stuck at home, or worse, out on the road. If you drive a performance sedan, this tire offers the best combination of traction and cornering stability in a dedicated winter tire." -- Tire Rack Consumer, 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD with Technology Package

There is room for improvement. (the winter tire segment is cutthroat)
Bridgestone can use the WS-70 tread pattern, and raise the speed rating to V-rated.
The Dunlop WinterSport 4D looks great.
