Tire Storage for Summer

One of the most convenient ways to store your winter / snow tires in the summer is with the Tire Rack Tire Storage Rack. I have two of these mounted on the back wall of my garage. This allows me to store my second set of tires, as well as my wife's set in the off-season. We both run Blizzaks in the winter due to the lake-effect snow we receive here in South Bend. However, we needed a better solution for storing them once the warmer temperatures arrived.

With a weight capacity of 400 lbs. the adjustable rack quickly attaches to wall studs to provide a convenient and safe storage method. And while storing in the basement may be a more ideal solution, this well-engineered solution helps me organize the garage and keep extra tires and Tire & Wheel Packages out of my way. It has freed up space on our garage floor so I can store more in my garage than I used to be able to.

We have a 1 size that fits up to 66"in total width. This should easily accommodate your wider summer tires

I also have two of these racks mounted to the back wall of our garage...both our vehicles have dedicated winter wheels/tires and the off season sets occupy these racks..instead of the limited garage floor space. Very solid and adjustable for both width (along the metal back rack mounting plate) and for tire diameter with (I believe) three mounting holes for the tire supporting chrome round rods. Highly recommend them.
P.S. Alex is my Tire Rack sales rep and provides excellent service!

The rack is great but it needs oblong bolt holes! It's pre-drilled every 16" EXACTLY but your house may not have wall studs centered EXACTLY 16" apart. If they doubled or tripled the width of each bolt hole you'd have a much easier time installing the unit.
