Great Reviews on Sumitomo Tires!

Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 is a great value all-season tire. In our test, "Testing New High Performance All-Season Tires"  the tire came in first when compared to options from Firestone, Michelin and Yokohama. The tire provides solid dry grip and isn't recommended for heavy snow conditions.

There are two versions available of the HTR A/S P01: H- or V-Speed Rated and a W-Speed Rated. While their tread patterns are very similar, the W-rated tire features sportier steering and cornering. The H- and V-rated version offers a smoother ride. If you're in a borderline snow region, where wet conditions are prevalent in the winter, these options are worth considering. They are also a good option for a lower cost choice to use in the three seasons when your winter / snow tires are in storage.

If a summer tire is what you desire, the HTR Z III is a comfortable riding option with excellent wet grip. This tire is very quiet and features an asymmetric tread pattern. It can be rotated to all positions. In our test, it was surpassed only by a tire that costs quite a bit more, so if you're looking for a great tire at a great price, take a look at the Sumitomo HTR Z III.
