The Pirelli Cinturato is by far the best tire I have installed on my Mazda3. I had Michelin's prior to this purchase and they were good, but the Pirelli rides smoother and grips the road better in my opinion. I'm finding that all the positive reviews for this tire are true. I was a little nervous... never bought a Pirelli before, but so far it has lived up to all the hype given and the nice rebate made this purchase much easier to make. If this tire performs great in the snow like reviews have mentioned, this purchase will be a home run. The Michelin's were slippery on snow from the beginning and a big challenge to keep on the road in these conditions. I'm hoping the Pirelli's can do a better job in the winter. If you go with these tires, I think you will be happy you did.

Excellent in all applicable categories, haven't had them long enough to rate them for winter performance. I will append my review next spring, but I expect performance will be extremely good. They are super quite, and have surprisingly good lateral stability for not being a low profile tire.

I bought these three years ago along with a new set of rims. Shipping from Tirerack was great, and I loved that they came inflated, on the rims. I just slapped them on the car. They handled well, I always felt like they performed great. They are now producing a wumpwumpwump sound at medium speeds, so I'm thinking about replacing them. They still have 3/32" tread, which might not be enough for a Minnesota winter (depending on which kind we get this coming year). I wish I had gotten 60000 miles like some people did. Our driving is probably 1/3 city and 2/3 highway, as 2 of the 3 years we lived out away from heavy traffic. I was initially concerned a little that these were specific tires for Camaros, but when I bought them they had such an awesome price that I couldn't pass them up. Now the price is double what I paid for the first set. Of course I wish I could get the same price again, but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. They also look really nice with the rims I got with them. But any other tire is going to have to be a lot cheaper, or have just awesome ratings in order for me to switch to another model. I will say that because these are wider than stock, I was a bit nervous when I was pulling a pop-up camper and the tires were so close to the fender. That duty is now delegated to our pickup truck so that's no longer a concern. Buying both rims and tires from TireRack is so convenient, I wish I could afford to do that every time.

Believe it or not I drive my 911 year round. The factory Dunlop tires performed well in the dry, decently in the rain, but wear very quickly and were quite noisy. I had the Michelins installed on an aftermarket set of forged wheels lighter than stock. Right away the noise level was drastically reduced. Also, I could get the Dunlop tires to break away if I tried, the Michelins stick like glue. Handling confidence is up there with an r compound street/track tire. The sidewalls are stiff, but quite frankly I'd prefer that with low profile tires. The ride isn't busy by any means, but you can feel the stiffness of the tires over larger road imperfections. Knowing that my expensive wheels are protected improves driving confidence rather than a softer ride. I run dedicated winter tires on the stock wheels during the colder months, and while they ride much better the 'grip threshold is much lower as to be expected. Running tires without the Porsche "N" designation doesn't worry me in this case as I trust the Michelin brand. I have run Michelin tires on other vehicles with equally great results. The price/performance/wear expectancy of these tires made them an easy choice. I haven't driven enough to gauge wear, but the factory rear Dunlops lasted about 18 months and 7,500 miles before needing replacement. While this is understandable given the performance envelope the car is capable of, the noise level alone turned me off to getting another set. The front tires seem to last twice as long, but for a few bucks more I got a whole set of Michelins as opposed to just replacing the factory rear rubber. If the rear tires last 15,000 miles I will definitely be sticking with them.

This is my initial review after 500 miles. So far, these tires are quiet, ride smoothly, and appear to handle well in both wet and dry conditions. They are an upgrade from the stock Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 tires and complement the high performance nature of the Forester XT turbo nicely. If anything, they make the car feel more solid and luxurious, given the quiet and refined ride. Steering response is better as well. They are expensive, but worth it. I look forward to trying them in the snow next winter and will update my review then.

2011 Ford Transit Connect - OEM - about 7/32" tread remaining no at 17,500 miles. first 2 winters tires performed almost like snow tires! excellent. This past 2013/14 Conn. Winter
not as good as tread worn approx 25 - 30% Otherwise excellent tire for the vehicle in all conditions.

I drove three Winter seasons on my Blizzak DM-V1s. I kept them at the factory recommended 33 PSI cold inflation pressure. I'm not much of a speeder, but I tend to take what my nephews call "high-G" turns. I tow a boat and trailer that weigh slightly less than 3,000 pounds all Winter; if it's above freezing and I can get on the water somewhere, I go. I've used Blizzaks on several different vehicles and am always impressed by how well they work in snow and on ice. As expected, they feel softer than Summer tires and even slightly "greasy" on warm roads. The shoulder blocks wore fairly quickly on the tires. I began to see the hard base layer underneath the softer tread layer at the beginning of the third season. However, they performed fine, even when backing the boat trailer down a roughly paved boat launch ramp covered by six inches of damp snow and ice. My only complaint is that they make quite a bit of tread noise. But, hey, the aggressive tread is what makes them work so well in deep snow. I'll probably buy another set, since they're the only tires available for my OEM wheels, but I'm not disappointed by that.
