These tires are great. They are a step up in performance category (max performance) from the Ultra High Performance that I had previously and the difference is remarkable most notably in steering response. They handle great, ride comfortably and are quiet. I would definitely buy them again.

This tire came as OEM on my 2012 VW Passat. I have driven this car in the city and on the highway in both Chicago and Dallas, TX and found the tires to be far superior to most other tires, especially the Hankook OEM tire used by VW on the Passat. My advice is this... if you are buying a Passat make sure it has the Continentals and NOT the Hankooks!

Firstly I want to say that this tires "some" things right...but more wrong! I bought these after reading all of the glowing reviews about the comfort and noise levels being very good with these tires. I have to say they are good..."up to about 50mph", then all -------- breaks loose! Noise, tramlining, rough, and squirmy?!? I had to slow to 70mph because the car would vibrate so much. Lot's of hopping at highway speed...which I hear can happen on a Golf VI on 18's unless the tires are right. These tires were put on after a factory VW alignment and a Hunter road force balance so I know it wasn't that. I really wish these tires had the highway manners that they had at low speed because they were awesome cruising around city streets. Anyway, I ordered some Michelin AS/3's so we will see what happens when these go on.

After 4 sets of DWS on the Honda Accord, I tried them on the VW JSW Tdi. I was commuting 100 miles/4 days and 60 mile/3 days in town with excellent results. The only thing I've noticed with these tires is flat spots (put of round) if not slightly over inflated - especially in extreme cold/heat. Would get a "thump thump" every rotation for the first few miles and it would gradually dissipate.

I replaced the OE Continentals at 83K miles. The PureContact set were immediately impressive - a great reduction in road noise form the tires, and impact harshness on sharp-edged bumps was greatly reduced.

Although they are LRR tires, fuel mileage suffered by 2 MPG over 2 tanks (1,200 mi), although this may be attributable that the new tires have a greater diameter, and that the MPG is comparable.

Overall, highly recommended as a replacement set for this vehicle.

I choose this tire for its ride quality that has been reported and the low rolling resistance the tire offers in hopes for better MPG. I put winter tires on the car 2 days after I purchased it and comparing my MPG to the winter tires, my mpg has INCREASED by about 4mpg average. During the break in period, the tire did ride a little rough but has smoothed out considerably. It is a very quiet and smooth riding tire after about 1500 miles of use. Dry and wet traction is very good and I anticipate the tread wear will be good as well. I would recommend the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires to anyone.

These tires are awesome! Replaced half worn OEM ContiContactPro tires primarily because at 30,000 miles they drove me nuts with noise. (They weren't all that quiet to begin with). Only after replacing the Conti OEM's with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's could I really appreciate the driving and handling potential of my CC.

Now this is NOT a sports car by any means, but like most German cars, it is meant to be driven as opposed to riding in it. Handling is markedly quicker and more precise. Drove yesterday in a downpour and honestly, from driving the car, it felt like I was on dry pavement.

As far as noise control, nearly anything would be an improvement over the Conti's. But I have to say, these are as quiet as I have experienced with any tire in my many years of driving. They also seem to absorb those annoying surface irregularities such as pavement cracks and patches. On really good surfaces such as newer highways and freeways, they are inaudible over other noises such as wind or engine sounds.

To sum it up, my car is a whole different machine with the Michelen PS A/S 3's. I look forward to every drive I take, and have even taken it out for a few joy rides. Why wouldn't I?

Great tires, superb resistance from hydroplaning at highway speeds, when ya hit a big pool of water it goes through effortlessly. They are great handling, very stable, since I have EIbach pro kit springs and sways on my GTI the suspension is much firmer than stock, so the tires did get noisy after about 50,000miles, they did get the alligator tread smooth one direction, rough the other way when ya rub your hand across them. New ones are smooth and quiet! Got about 54K out of the set, great stuff, very stable and feel great in the GTI. AND cheaper than the stock Conti Contacts from factory, and are a better tire! It's win win win Extreme Contact DWS are great tires.

My Jetta Sportwagen came standard with 17" Conti ProContact tires. They were well used up by 50,000 miles. I liked the Conti tires due to good responsiveness and cornering/braking. The Contis were always quite poor in snow, but since I also have a 4x4 available, not a big issue.

The first thing I noticed with the Pirellis is the sudden quiet on the highway! It is difficult to quantify how much quieter the P7s are than those Contis, but the difference is almost shocking. The P7s are great on wet and dry roads and they still provide good feedback in corners. The P7s are obviously better in snow than my worn out tires, but better than the ProContacts ever were in snow. The P7s are NOT great in snow however, so don't think of that as a ringing endorsement. It's more of a "they don't absolutely ----." If you need snow tires, get snow tires people.

I love these P7s because of the quiet, smooth ride, great handling and feedback and somewhat improved snow performance. The P7s are just a better tire in every category in my mind. I thought the Contis were great until I got the P7s.

Everyone told me I was making a mistake by getting this tire. They said it would be super noisy but it's just as quiet as any other tire I've had. Handling is pretty good, too. Granted, I'm talking about "handling" on a VW Bus but it's still good. What I love most are the 8 ply sidewalls. Even in strong gusts of wind my vehicle stays planted. Car seems more stable now. I had been using 6 ply sidewall tires and these are far superior.

I've tried many different brands of L/T tires over the years and these are - by far - the best. You will not regret getting this tire if you own a VW Bus and they seem to good I'm sure you'll feel that way on any other type of car.

I bought these tires because they come as stock OEM tires on a Cayman/Cayman S/Carrera and after reading reviews about the praise given to these cars, I figured the tires might be a big contributing factor. I drive 80-85% on the highway and the rest on back roads or city driving. The softer sidewall make this an amazing highway tire, that rides great, and is quiet at temperatures above 50F. On cold mornings (40F-50F), the tires can feel a little rough and noisy but once they warm up, they are great. When up to temperature, I think they grip as well as the top summer tires...however the softer sidewall does reduce (slightly) the cornering stability and steering feel. I am willing to accept that trade-off for a comfortable daily ride. My FWD car has about 205 whp(w/ mods)and these tires don't spin at all under full throttle. After 2000 miles the front tires show .5mm of wear while the rears measure like new tread depth (10.5mm). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these tires for someone looking for a summer tire that drives mostly on the highway.

Buy this tire. Nuff said. I had the OEM Pirelli P zeron Nero's, then the Bridgestone RE970's, and then these. 110K on my car now. These are my favorites for sure; don't understand why they are less than the 970's, because I think they're better, but I love it. Just placed an order for another set now that mine are down to 3/32nds. Some of the grippiest in wet/dry I've had, as well as the absolute quietest tires I've ever had.

These tires are amazing, I bought these to replace to stock all season pirelli zero which where pretty bad, before that I had the conti dws on my bmw, and they where very good, but nothing compared to the michelins, I live in vegas so no need to worryabout snow but i wanted something with a very high tread life and good grip, im apr tuned stage 2 and sometime traction control would flash threw 3rd gear on the pirellis, and anytime i take a corner somewhat aggressively the back end would slide out, and driving with out traction control was horrible, couldnt go anywhere, these michelin tires are completely opposite, my car rids much smoother, back end is much more composed, hardly any wheel spin in 2nd gear, and now i love to drive with traction control off, especially in the summer here in vegas, once these tires heat up, they're very impressive for a all season tire, cant imagine what a extreme summer tire would be like. I would definitely buy these tires again

May 22, 2014

I bought these tires to replace a set of the Avid ENVigor's that I thought were awful. They were the noisiest tire I have ever owned, and only lasted 48k miles on a 60k warranty. I was hesitant to buy a similar line and looked at buying the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2. After comparing them to the Avid Ascend's, I gambled and went with these due to the longer 75k mileage expectancy, and the deeper treads. So far, I am beyond happy with these tires. The ride noise is MUCH, MUCH lower. The ride is very comfortable, and feels brand new. The steering response has been great. I have driven them in a good downpour and they were great. No snow or ice yet as its going into summer where I live. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. 200 miles isn't that much, but the improved noise and ride comfort was so much better, I wanted to post this. I will continue to update as I put more miles on them and when I am able to get some winter driving in.
