Introducing the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2BFGoodrich has been a leader in all-terrain technology for many years. When they introduced the All-Terrain T/A KO back in 1997, they upturned the all-terrain category with a tire that provided awesome traction, a clean look, a nice ride and iron-like wear. Sounds tough to beat, right? It was, until BFGoodrich had an ace up their sleeves with the recent announcement of the All-Terrain T/A KO2.

This tire has a similar middle tread pattern to its predecessor, but the rest of the tire has been redesigned. The tread now extends onto the sidewall, helping with traction in off-road conditions while protecting the sidewalls from punctures. They have also beefed up the tread compound to be even more cut- and chip-resistant than before and doubled the sidewall rubber thickness. To top it all off, you'll notice that the sidewall says "Baja Champion" on it, just like its predecessor. They didn't just keep those words on the sidewall from the last generation, they actually took these out and won the Baja race with them before production began so that the tires would be worthy of keeping the "Baja Champion" branding on the sidewall.

This tire is great for any driver who wants a reasonable tire on-road that can handle snow and ice in the winter, as well as being able to tackle whatever you throw at it off-road. Drivers of lifted trucks and lifted Jeeps will be happy with the selection of sizes that are on the way. With 35" tall offerings on the way in 16", 17", 18" and 20" wheel diameters, there is sure to be a fit for your truck.

I'm specifically excited about the impending release of their 37x12.50R17 size as the bigger they are, the better they look!

Hi John,
I assume you mean the 315/70-17, and yes, the overall diameter and width are very similar to the 35x12.50-18. That 315/70-17 was the original size on the SVT Raptors, and if you have a set of 18" wheels between 8.5" and 11" wide with the same backspacing as your 17" wheels, they should still fit!

Hi Tim,

In the 285/75-16 size about which you inquired, the only BF Goodrich tire currently being produced is the All Terrain T/A KO2 described in this article. They don't make the Mud Terrain tires in that size anymore unfortunately. Have a look at the selection for 285/75-16 tires here:
