The
Michelin LTX A/T 2 is designed to combine even wear, low noise and good fuel efficiency
while providing year-round on- and off-road traction and durability without compromising the on-road comfort low noise and handling.
Available for vehicles using light truck tire sizes like vans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, the rubber compound is silica-enhanced to improve wet traction and the tread profile incorporates Michelin Biting Edges that enhance traction on dirt, mud, gravel, wet grass and snow.
The newest generation snow tire from Bridgestone is here, the Blizzak WS70. It is designed to deliver maximum wintertime traction and control that inspires confidence in drivers of coupes, sedans and minivans on winter's slushy, snow-covered and icy roads.
Its unique dual tread, Multicell compound is molded into a directional tread design to help evacuate water and slush away from the tire's contact patch and increase hydroplaning resistance. The Blizzak WS70 also features 3-D zigzag sipes to enhance dry road performance while maintaining snow, ice and wet traction.

Remember to use winter / snow tires in sets of four only.
The Michelin LTX M/S 2 is designed to combine a quiet comfortable ride with long tread life, year-round traction and all-season capabilities in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
It is available for vehicles using light truck tire
sizes (vans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles). The rubber compound is silica-enhanced to improve wet traction and the tread profile features Michelin’s MaxTouch construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction by evenly distributing braking, acceleration and cornering stability. The symmetric tread design features 3-D active sipes to improve snow traction and four wide circumferential grooves and multiple lateral channels for good hydroplaning resistance. They carry a six-year or 70,000-mile warranty.
Tire totes are constructed from a heavy duty fabric shell and have a built-in strap which makes them perfect to handle/transport tires to and from the race track. They will also protect your clothing or the inside of the vehicle from dirt and brake residue.
Wheel felts come in very handy too, to create a fully enclosed tire bag to protect the face of the wheel. The totes also can be used to neatly stack that extra set of
winter tires in the corner of the garage.
With so many wipers available on the market today it is tough to decide which one is most efficient.
The best one I have found is the
PIAA Silicone wiper. The rubber blade is enhanced with silicone, which gets transferred to the windshield every time the wipers are used creating a super slick invisible coating which allows rain water to bead into small droplets and slide off with normal wiping. The silicone coating also eliminates chatter and squeaking which I found very common with other wipers.
Tire Rack carries a full line of PIAA wipers from 12-inch to 24-inch sizes to fit most of the vehicles on the road today.
I own a 4-wheel drive Chevy Tahoe, a heavy SUV with fairly small brakes. I have replaced the front rotors with Original Equipment equivalent rotors only to replace them again a few months later due to severe warping from the heat generated by every day normal braking.
Cryo-stop rotors have been the solution to my problem. Although they still look like stock rotors, internally the cryogenic treatment has dramatically increased durability and abrasive wear resistance. Installed over 3 years ago and with more than 45k miles, they show no signs of warping or fading. Matched with
Hawk LTS pads which have improved stopping power, far better from the original equipment pads.
Tire Rack carries Cryo-treated rotors to fit most SUVs and trucks on the market today.
