New Tires: Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110

If you drive a sports car, sporty coupe or high-performance sedan...you'll want to learn more about this new tire.

Hankook's Ventus V12 evo K110 is a Max Performance Summer tire that gives comfort and control on both dry and wet roads. (Not, however, on snow-covered roads. You'll want to get some winter / snow tires for that time of year and keep this specifically for warmer weather.)

These new performance auto tires feature Hankook's High Tg Polymer & Specific Resin compound and a Multiple Tread Radius profile. Quite simply, it means that this tire blends powerful braking with predictable handling and a resistance to hydroplaning. Internally, twin steel belts are reinforced by nylon and a rayon carcass sandwiches a hard rubber in the sidewall between the body cord plies to keep the tire from getting distorted when higher speeds are hit or during cornering.

Here's what one Tire Rack Consumer had to say about them:

"After much research, I bought these...because they were non-runflats, more than half the price, quieter, grippier, and had outstanding dry and wet traction characteristics. Car & Driver tire review rated them quite high and they lived up to their press clippings!" — BMW 335i Sedan, VA
