Honda Civic Tires

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 by Tire Rack Team

Plenty of Honda Civic drivers "trick out" their cars for increased performance, even style. Others prefer to keep them just as they were when they left the showroom floor. Whether you fall into Category A or B, or somewhere in between, you'll agree on one thing: the right Honda Civic tires are important.

Our inventory of tires includes a number of great Honda Civic tires. When making a recommendation, we take into consideration your Civic's model and year—even the roads you drive on. We leave no detail unattended to make sure you're driving on a great set of Honda Civic tires.

Take a look at the 2009 Honda Civic Sedan SI at right. It features 19" wheels and a tire size of 225/35ZR-19. We've completed the package with the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tire. Thanks to this Ultra High Performance Summer tire, this particular Civic will handle wet and dry roads with precision and control because the Direzza DZ101 provides crisp and responsive handling. Now, obviously this driver isn't dealing with snow-covered roads, and if they were we would most likely recommend a winter / snow tire instead. These Direzzas weren't made for such freezing temperatures, and will lose traction on snow-covered roads.

Find out what Honda Civic tires you should be running on—use our Tire Decision Guide or shop by vehicle. You can even give one of our sales specialists a call if you need to.

Comments on Honda Civic Tires

I have a Honda Civic 2009 LX sedan. Never made my peace with the extreme tire/road noise. So I am now considering either another care or a "Civic improvement" project. Thus my goal is the quietest possible tire. Even more than wear, grip, cost, etc. Quiet first and foremost! I live in Seattle. So our temperatures are mainly mild, I have Blizzaks if it gets snowy. So I need something for six months of rain and three months of dry. Suggestions welcome.

Hi Rob, I would try these: http://bit.ly/11f3y4H. Very quiet and comes in both the 16" and 17" sizes that could have been standard on that Civic.
