Get the low down on suspension.

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 by Tire Rack Team
When it comes to your vehicle's suspension settings, there's always a little bit of flexibility. Many drivers like to lower their vehicle to enhance its aesthetics, but you have to be really careful about how low you go. Take it down too much and you put yourself at risk for negative ride quality, bad tire wear—and you just might "bottom out."

Keep in mind that when you go lower, you'll need a higher spring. At Tire Rack, we carry a number of products from reputable brands like Eibach and H&R that provide the required higher spring rates. In addition, you'll need to realign your vehicle, as lowered vehicles typically need adjustments to achieving efficient alignment.
