Initial Review, 45000 Miles on Tires
If you know how to drive in the snow, these tires are just fine for winter driving. During 6 Colorado winters on these tires, I have never needed to use the snow cables sitting in my trunk. I remember driving on I-70 and I-25 from Glenwood Springs to Colorado Springs during a blizzard in April 2005 (Google it) with no handling issues or loss of control on these tires (Accord with two lightweight people and no baggage). On the other hand, we saw several dozen other cars and trucks spinning out, stopped in the middle of the freeway unable to move, or crashed off the side of the roads that night. These are not snow tires, but if you want an all-in-one solution and know how to handle a car in the snow, I recommend these tires. It goes without saying that they are excellent on wet roads. I just installed a second set of these after 45K miles.
