Initial Review, 4500 Miles on Tires First let me say that no snow tire will turn your FWD into a 4WD, but they will make it seem unstopable compared to regular all season tires. These tires are just amazing. A great compromise in Snow and Ice traction and Dry/wet pavement handling. Slush didn't faze them either. The noise level is on par with the touring tires I took off and the ride is excellent. The tires grip extremely well on hard pack snow and Ice. They are not as good as some aggressive studdable type snow tires in the real heavy stuff, but they handle dry or wet roads as well as a regular sport tire would. Noise is not an issue with these tires either. Overall I would buy these tires again in a heartbeat. They let my Volvo maintain it's fun to drive handling and give great real world snow and ice capabilities. If these tires won't get you there safely, you probably shouldn't be on the road.
