Initial Review, 31000 Miles on Tires
November 04, 2011

These are very quiet running tires and offer excellent dry weather grip on the highway. But once the temperate drops bellow freezing and there is any ice or snow the performance of these tires take a very sharp decline.

These tires came stock on 2010 Ford full sized vans (E250-E350) and as a utility worker in Canada I feel these tires have no business being on Canadian roads in the winter.

Last year I got stuck in less than 2 inches of snow when one tire was caught in a very shallow rut. I was also stuck on more than 5 occasions trying to leave customer houses on freshly plowed streets.

So unless you want a large portion of your cargo hold taken up by sand bags yielding minimal results, I do NOT recommend using these tires in Canada where you may get snowfall. I am sure these would be fine in Vancouver.

While you can mitigate accidents by reducing speed. The sad fact that these tires get stuck in such minimal amounts of snow/ice, and have such a hard time getting the vehicle moving without breaking the tires loose that I strongly feel any company that truly considers their employees safety will remove these tires ASAP and replace with M+S rated tires if operating in Canada.
