Initial Review, 2500 Miles on Tires
Replaced the stock Bridgestone RE-050 tires on my S2000 with Pilot Super Sport tires. I was lured in by all the positive reviews, the low-ish price, low weight, and a recommendation from a friend that has the same tires. I have to admit that I've been pretty disappointed so far. The Michelins excel (in a big way) at providing a soft, quiet ride on cars using "performance street" summer tires. But they fall well short of the direct competition in dry traction while cornering. The sidewalls fold over quite easily, and the tire compound just isn't up to anything but leisurely strolls around a wide radius corner.
