Initial Review, 70000 Miles on Tires Just finished buying new tires. Thought some more about my old ones - Destination LE's. I bought these tires when I bought the Jeep with 89,000 miles on it. It is now turning over 160,000mi. I went through deep snow, packed ice, light snow, rain, dirt and dry conditions. I never remember loosing traction. I even took the jeep up a fire trail filled with fist sized and larger rocks and steep inlines that made my passengers quake. Never had a problem (a few rocks slipped but the tires held.) I went across an earthen dam at a local ranch after 7 inches of rain. The tires held. I didn't even look at the tires until my dad said his car had better traction in snow. Nothing has better traction than a Grand Cherokee in weather conditions so it was then that I noticed my tires were missing a little depth to their tread - 70,000 miles later.
